Trouble in Thailand

Filed under: General — Manfred at 2:52 pm on Sunday, November 30, 2008

Hi friends, may be You saw in the news this week about the political problems in Thailand. There is no air traffic yet.Since Wednesday early morning the airports are closed in Bangkok.I brought our Little Friend already on Monday to the post office(here in Phibun Mangsahan,600 Km away from Bangkok),sended by air-mail.I think our Traveller is now waiting in Bangkok for the international airport opens again to get a lift to China.May be,that causes a long delay,no one knows, when the airports open again.Sorry Joey,I hope You not have to wait too long and the situation in Thailand, specially the air traffic will become normaly again.Hope the best for our little friend and his trip around the world.

The Traveler and I had a little pep talk…

Traveler (Whining): But why can’t I go to the beach with you? *sniff*

Me: We’ve been together for more than a month now. You have to go now to Thailand and meet Mr. Manfred. He’s expecting you.

Traveler (still whining): But when can I see Boracay?

Me: Don’t worry. I’ll send you a postcard. Move on with your journey and finish the rest of Asia. I hope to see you again :)

Traveler: Well, I did enjoy my stay here in Manila. Thank you for your hospitality! I will tell Wojtek to invite you to the launching of Around The World in One Camera exhibit!

The day before I leave for the wonderful paradise of Boracay, Philippines, I have to send the Traveler to our next participant. I have FedEx-ed it to ensure a fast and safe journey of our little friend-in-a-box.

… now on its way to Thailand!
