i decided to give my colorful buddy a tour in some of my favorite sites in Tel Aviv. before the urban tour, i granted him a nap in the shade of our suburban kitchen window’s plants.

and we were off! off to the friday art market of nahalat benyamin, where art, music, colors, and the celebration of a new weekend meet. smack in the center of the largest city in israel, nahalat benyamin alley is a common point of interest to israeli habitants as well as visitors from abroad. a stroll through the alley allows a glimpse into the israeli culture and creativity.

tunes from amateur, experienced and professional musicians rise randomly from hidden corners or by busy junctions, on a mission to make the artists a few shekels, or just spread the good atmosphere their vibes create. my little buddy seemed to be excited about the israeli musical scene, so i decided to take him to the best music joint tel aviv could offer on a friday afternoon.

my favorite coffee shop in central tel aviv, located in the loveliest neighborhood in town - nave zedek, play excellent live jazz every friday afternoon. what more can one ask for after a long tiring week of work and study, if not to relax at a lovely coffee shop with an ice-cold beer in hand and an excellent jazz trio playing live 10 feet away?

the colorful traveler felt so naturally happy by the simple livening tunes, that he decided this is it. this is where the picture will be taken. shot number 21.

on the way back, we ran into a massive waterfight by the city hall!! hundreds of water guns, buckets and bottles sprayed everywhere! i kept our buddy safe under cover.

no need for a shower today!
