Lukasz Wronkowski z reporterami TVP
Lukasz Wronkowski with Polish TV reporters

Teraz wracam do pisania mojej pracy magisterskiej… o Hrabalu i Środkowej Europie właśnie.”

Traveler Gets Here on my Birthday!

Filed under: General — ojciec at 11:12 am on Tuesday, April 24, 2007

Traveler got here on Friday. My brother Mateusz got it from the post office. I got the chance to see it for the first time on Saturday which also happend to be my birthday! I went downtown Wroclaw (Breslau) on Monday to find that one shot I can only take but I couldn’t find anything what would strike me. However I failed to get the shot together with my friend we made a pretty good short docu film about it. Tomorrow, Wednesday, I’m going to challenge myself again but this time along with the Polish TV crew which is making a news about the project. If everything goes smooth Traveler will be on its way to Sweden on Thursday.

It is really astonishing project, it´s completely different than digital photos. After opening the package, the magic of far distance breathed on me, I´d like to travel with traveler around the world to distant countries…

Many thanks to all participants, who writtes the traveler´s story. Special thank belongs to Wojtek, for organizing this great thing. Good luck to everyone!

The lazy Hungarian

I must admit I feel rather embarrassed not being the fastest link in this great project. Though I had a valid excuse for stalling to take the picture for a while (a travel to Ireland), since then I was just to busy doing things and I couldn’t spare enoght time to send the camera to the next participant.
But finally I got my act together and packed the camera back into the box and I will send it to the next participant.
Hungary
The box contained an amazing scrapbook with terrific entries from the countries the camera visited so far, a truly overwhelming experience.
Anyways, the camera will hit the road tomorrow, sorry again for being the weakest link :-(
