Around the World in One Camera

I have recently received a few mails from people doing comments about the camera we will be using for the project and since it’s a Lomo, some people have their  own doubts about the results.
Well, all cameras are the same. They all come from the same logic, and they were all born from a black box with a hole…. Yes, of course… if there is something that makes them really  different is the lens. But…

Why can’t we sometimes pay more attention to the ’story’ of the picture instead of the gear the author used?

The first camera I used was made of plastic, and it didn’t have a name or brand… I used it a long time, and the results were always unpredictable; but that was always the surprise!! It was simply great o see the outcome!!
In fact, i still have that camera and I love using it every once in a while.
I have not used the ‘Action sampler’ before but I love the condition of developing an idea out of it.

So….I certainly think ‘it’s NOT the camera, but what you DO with the camera’.

I would like to know your opinion.

I found few forums where people are “talking” about this project. Some of them love it, some other think it will never work. I was wondering what YOU think? If you have a spare minute, let us know what you think. (don’t have to register to post a comment)

It looks like we’re going to have a little delay because I started receiving e-mails from people from around the world who want to join us. Therefore I decided to wait a little bit so I can determine what would be the best direction for the camera to start traveling.

Finally! After two weeks of preparations I’m ready to start the adventure! Our Action Sampler will be sent shortly to Northern Ireland where Przemek (pshe’meck) aka Dachu, our first photographer, will be taking the first shot!
